I had the opportunity and responsability of modeling the picnic table and its textures as well as texturing our main fly character, Bingus. The fly character was modeled by Mandylah E. Cesar.
During our 5th semester at NAD-UQAC, we were challenged to create a 30-second commercial in just 10 weeks—using only two randomly assigned words as our creative brief. We were lucky (and a bit puzzled) to receive “flyswatter” and “Québec,” which led us to craft a humorous commercial for a proudly Québec-made flyswatter.
This project was produced using a fully USD-based pipeline in Houdini Solaris, demonstrating our ability to work with industry-standard tools in a professional environment.
I had an amazing time contributing to the modeling, texturing, and animation throughout the project!
Table modeling was done in Maya, table and character texturing in Substance Painter, and animation in Maya.
